Andrew Wrangell was born in 1992 on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. He attended primary and high school on the Sunshine Coast and studied music composition at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, graduating with honours in 2013.

Andrew began playing piano from the age of five and completed his piano AmusA in 2008 at the age of 16. He played church organ at St John’s College, University of Queensland, for four years. He is a keen composer and arranger, having written several pieces played by the South Brisbane Federal Band. Andrew regularly releases piano arrangements on his YouTube channel and this work has taken him worldwide.

In 2014 he performed in Finland for the Kitee International Music and Art Festival. Andrew was invited after his arrangements of Nightwish music were discovered by Plamen Dimov, an early mentor of the band, Nightwish being Finland’s most iconic symphonic metal act. Andrew returned to Finland in 2016 for the Kitee International Music and Art Festival in the home town of Nightwish as a music director.

Andrew continues to enjoy writing and performing music and sharing his enjoyment with others.
